PHL And PPSU Asked to Tackle Flood Optimally

The personnel of Public Facilities and Infrastructure Handling (PPSU) and freelancer (PHL) are instructed to optimally handle flood in Jakarta.

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama said they must know what to do, especially during rainy season.

"When it rains, all sluice gates must be opened. Because if there is garbage, it will hamper the water flow and cause flood," expressed Basuki, during silaturahmi with members of PPSU and PHL at City Hall, Thursday (3/2).

In that occasion, the governor cited flood case in Kampung Pulo, due to garbage stuck in the pump. He reminded, the field officer should routinely check the condition of the pump and the drain to anticipate flood.
